Our goal is to make your shopping experience a great one. If you have questions, comments or suggestions about the site, we’d love to hear them.

Payment Options
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, PayPal and personal checks (we can only accept checks from US accounts). When paying by check please allow up to a week for your check to arrive and your payment to clear.

We accept orders both from the website and over the phone. You can find our contact information here, if you would like to place a phone order. Someone is usually in the office 9:00-4:30 Monday-Friday PST. If for some reason we can’t get to the phone, please leave us a message and we’ll call you right back!

Online Security
We accept credit cards through a SSL secure server, and payments are automated by our credit card processor Authorize.net. We never store your credit card number in our system.

Prices and Sales Tax
Prices are shown in US dollars and are subject to change. Sales tax is charged to Washington State residents. All other orders are exempt from sales tax.

About Color and Samples
We spend a lot of time trying to make sure that our pictures are as accurate as possible. However, please remember that computer monitor settings vary and may display colors differently.

If you’re curious about the exact color and feel of a yarn, you can ask us for a free sample. Just send a self-addressed stamped envelope to us with your requests included and we’ll send them on out to you. You may request up to five samples free of charge. If you would like more than five samples, please include a check to cover the additional samples. Additional samples are $1.00 for two. We are unable to offer samples for the following products: Midnightsky Sock, Be Sweet Magic Balls.

Extra Perks
We love gifts and if your order is a gift for someone else, we’ll gift wrap it for free. To get free gift wrap just put the recipients address in the shipping address section of the checkout page, and use the gift message box to write a message to your recipient. We’ll wrap everything up in tissue and include a card with your message. The receipt for the order will be sent to you separately.

We also offer free ball-winding. Just send us an email after placing your order. Please be aware that if we wind your yarn into a center pull ball, it cannot be returned.

Yarn of the Week
Every week we feature a particular yarn in a particular color at 35% off, just for that week only. Announcements about which yarn is featured each week go out on Wednesdays, and each yarn is on sale only from that Thursday at 10:00 AM PST to the following Thursday at the same time. About Us
We’re a small online only yarn store located on Bainbridge Island, just outside of Seattle, WA. Verra Yarns came about because we wanted to focus on high quality natural, ecologically and socially conscious fibers. We’ve searched the world for great products that meet these requirements, because we believe that knitters want to know the stories behind the products that they purchase and use.

Giving Back
1% of annual sales is given to a designated non-profit. The non-profit for 2008 is Heifer International, and our donation will be going towards knitting baskets.

Verra Yarns is also a member of 1% For The Planet, which means we give an additional 1% of sales to environmental causes. 1% For The Planet is an alliance of businesses that understand the necessity of protecting our environment and are concerned about the social and environmental impacts of industry.

Privacy Policy
Your privacy is very important to us.

As a part of the order process the following information is collected: name, shipping/billing address, email address, phone number, credit/debit card information.

This information is used to process your order, and to contact you in case we have questions regarding your order. If, as a part of your registration you signed up to receive product updates or our newsletter, we will use your email to send this information to you. You may unsubscribe from these lists at any time by either logging into your account on the site or sending us an email and asking to be unsubscribed.

In order to aid in the delivery of your order, your phone number may be given to USPS. Please note that this is not normally the case, and we will only do this if there is a problem delivering your order.

The bottom line: we will never sell, loan, trade or rent customer information to anyone.
